"MOUNTAINS AND LIPS" - A Fable

Edward Lear, of "Owl and Pussycat" fame,  wrote dozens of nonsense poems often accompanied by illustrations. He loved words and drawing so much!

One such was a series of disparate groupings of objects such as

"Ribands and Pigs, Helmets and Figs, Set him a jigging & see how he jigs.

These delighted me to the point of wanting to make up my own rhymes and set the images in glass. On this panel there are four groupings of nonsense starting with "Mountains and Lips, Bamboo and Slips, Set him to flipping & see how he flips!"

You can guess the rest by looking....or call me!

Two colors fused to glass, 8"x44", sandblasted on one side and painted with glass enamels, approx. 15 lbs.
